Site Safety Survey

The following items are to be adhered to by Club members at all times.

Prior to Sailing

Inspect areas for at least 30 metres each side of Launching Area for dangerous objects e.g. Broken glass, syringes, uneven surfaces or any item likely to be a danger or cause harm.

General Club Safety

Life Jackets to be worn in the dinghy at all times and the dinghy is to be operated by a person holding a current Boat License.
Footwear to be worn at all times. Bare feet will not be accepted and members will not be allowed to sail until proper footwear is worn.
Handset antennae to be fitted with a protective knob on the end (Film container, practice golf ball or similar).

Existing Safety Concerns

Exercise caution with the following items that exist at the site;

  • Slipping on wet concrete boat ramp,

  • Boat skippers and Officials to keep concrete path clear at all times and ensure that handset antennae do not protrude over pathway, and

  • Your position relative to the lakes edges.
